ASUS has never been a big presence on the shelves of US carriers, but this year that’s slowly changing thanks to a partnership with AT&T.
Following the launch of the ASUS Padfone X on AT&T in June, it’s been revealed that the ASUS Padfone X mini will soon land on GoPhone, AT&T’s prepaid arm. The Padfone X mini will launch on October 24 for $199.99 with no commitment. The X mini’s spec list looks like this:
Phone
- 4.5-inch 854x480 display
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, XMM 7160 LTE modem
- 5-megapixel rear, 2-megapixel front cameras
- 8GB of storage
- microSD card slot
- 1GB of RAM
- 2060mAh battery
- 4G LTE connectivity
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- ASUS ZenUI
Tablet
- 7-inch 1280x800 screen
- 1-megapixel front camera
- 2200mAh battery
At just $200 without a contract, the ASUS Padfone X mini looks like a nice little device for AT&T prepaid customers, especially that price nets you a small tablet along with a new phone.
