Sony Xperia Z3 Compact silently appears on Sony Mobile's US site

This week we learned that the Sony Xperia Z3 will be launching in the US on Verizon as the Xperia Z3v, and we previously learned that T-Mobile will launch the Xperia Z3 as well. Sony hasn’t made any mention of whether or not the smaller Xperia Z3 Compact will breach US shores as well, but today a piece of evidence has surfaced to suggest that it very well could.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact now has its own page on Sony Mobile’s US website. The page has several images of the Xperia Z3 Compact in all four colors, a spec list and even a “Buy Now” button. Unfortunately, that Buy Now button only leads to a plain ol’ landing page rather than something with an “Add to Cart” button.

The appearance of this Xperia Z3 Compact page on Sony Mobile’s US site doesn’t guarantee that the device will be made available to those of us in the States, but it’s certainly the best evidence of a launch that we’ve gotten so far. There’s been no word of any US carriers offering the Z3 Compact, but we’ve seen Sony offer several unlocked smartphones to US consumers in the past, so it’s possible that the same thing will happen with the Z3 Compact.

Would you be interested in the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact if it were available in your market?
