Following yesterday’s Nexus 6 release rumor, we’ve got a report that claims to have launch information on this year’s other new Nexus, the HTC Nexus 9.
Sources speaking to Bright Side of News suggest that the HTC Nexus 9 will be announced on October 15, aka next Wednesday, with preorders starting that same day at $399. Nexus 9 reportedly won’t actually launch until November 3, but it’s said that the new slate will be available from “most major retailers” online and in stores.
The HTC Nexus 9 is expected to feature an 8.9-inch display, Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage. It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen an HTC Nexus device or an HTC tablet, but it looks like both droughts will come to an end soon. Considering how well-received HTC’s recent smartphone designs have been, it’ll be interesting to see what the company can do with a 9-inch Nexus tablet.
