Earlier today, we saw new images of what may be the rear shell of the iPhone 6, finished and ready to go out to consumers. Apparently that’s not the biggest iPhone 6 leak that we’re going to get today, though.
The folks at Feld & Volk have posted a video of what’s said to be an iPhone 6 that’s been cobbled together using various leaked parts. The device that’s shown lines up with what we’ve seen in previous leaks, sporting rounded edges, elongated volume buttons and a body that’s larger than the iPhone 5s.
The video also claims to show the device starting up and prompting the user to connect to the device to iTunes. However, the image doesn’t show the icon for the new, revamped version of iTunes. 9to5Mac also notes that the Lightning cable that’s shown on-screen doesn’t start directly at the bottom of the display like it does on the iPhone 5s.
So is this an iPhone 6? The software that it’s running may not be iOS, at least not version that I’m familiar with, but the hardware could line up with what we’ll see on September 9. Feld & Volk is a company that creates luxury versions of iPhone hardware, and it’s been responsible for other iPhone 6 leaks in recent months. Whatever this is, the good news is that we’re only about a week and a half from finding out what the iPhone 6 looks like once and for all. Stay tuned.
