SwiftKey now receiving major update, theme sale kicking off today as well

Heads up, SwiftKey users, because today the Android keyboard is getting a major new update.

SwiftKey just announced that it’s now pushing an update to its keyboard app that bumps it to version 5.0.2.4. This update is chock full of performance tweaks, including:

  • Improved typing performance
  • Improved some translations
  • Improved keyboard loading time
  • Improved Flow performance
  • Fix for the bottom row being hidden in some devices
  • Fixed Yahoo! personalization
  • Fixed background disappearing issue in some themes
  • Fixed some other force closes and crashes

In addition to those tweaks, SwiftKey is adding support for the Kyrgyz, Tajik and Turkmen languages. There’s also some new emoji prediction support for Arabic, Czech, Greek, Hebrew, Polish and Russian.

But wait, there’s more! SwiftKey is also rolling out five new themes to the SwiftKey Store. The new looks are Spotlight Purple, Edge Green, Pulse Yellow, Pulse Pink and Hazy Pink.

Speaking of themes, there’s a theme sale kicking off today in the SwiftKey Store. Several themes are getting their prices cut by 33 percent in several countries, meaning that it’s now cheaper to give your keyboard a fresh, new look.

SwiftKey is one of the most popular third-party keyboards available on Android, and it’s good to see that the company isn’t resting on its laurels after pushing out a major update just a little over a month ago. Today’s new version of SwiftKey sounds like a must-download if your keyboard of choice is SwiftKey, so head on over to Google Play using the link below and get to downloading!
