Microsoft and Nokia may be ready to begin rolling Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan to the public, but that doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the road for anyone enrolled in the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers.
A new update for the Preview for Developers version of Windows Phone 8.1 is now rolling out to those in the program. The update bumps users up to version 8.10.12400.899, up from the 8.10.12393.890 update that went out last month.
There’s no word yet on what’s included in this new WP8.1 preview update, but considering the small jump in build number, it seems likely that this is a bug fixer and performance enhancer. If you’re rocking the WP8.1 Preview for Developers yourself, you can check for the update by going into Settings > Phone Update > Check for Updates. Be sure to give me a shout once you get the update installed!
