T-Mobile Equipment Installment Plan to extend to accessories on July 20

T-Mobile has been offering smartphones and tablets with its Equipment Installment Plan for some time now, allowing consumers to get a new device and spread the full cost of it out over several months. Now the EIP program is expanding to accessories.

T-Mobile announced this morning that starting Sunday, July 20, accessories priced between $69 and $250 will be eligible for the Equipment Installment Plan. The offer will be good for just about any accessory you can think of, including wearables like the Samsung Gear Fit, Jabra wireless speakers, SOL Republic headphones and more. The EIP allows customers to pay $0 down for a device and spread the cost of it out over 24 months with a Simple Choice plan.

While some accessories may not be quite as essential as a smartphone, the nice ones can certainly be nice to have and can improve your phone-owning experience. Some of these add-ons can be nearly as expensive as your phone itself, though, so it’s good to see T-Mobile extend its EIP program to accessories.

In addition to this EIP expansion, T-Mobile's got a cash back offer for you. Today through August 12, the big magenta operator will give Simple Choice customers $100 back when they buy an iPhone or iPad. This deal will be good in T-Mobile stores and on the carrier’s website.
