Google Play Music for iOS updated with gapless playback, bug fixes and more

If you’re one of the folks that doesn’t discriminate against a company just because of the mobile OS that it backs, well, I’ve got some good news for you!

An update for the iOS version of Google Play Music is now available for download, complete with some notable new features. The update bumps Google Play Music up to version 1.3.0.2190 and includes the following:

  • New: Gapless playback
  • New: Download subscribed playlists
  • New: View current downloaded music
  • Improved: Listen now recommendations and the ability to dismiss them
  • Fixed: Loading of music library after update
  • Fixed: Various bugs leading to crashes

Gapless playback is a nice feature that makes listening to concerts and the like much more immersive, eliminating any silence that may otherwise be included in-between tracks. And hey, who doesn’t love to see bug fixes, amirite?

The Google Play Music update is now available for download from the App Store. If you’d prefer a direct download link, or if you don’t yet have Google Play Music installed and you want to check it out, you can snag the app using the App Store link below.
