Everybody loves an update, especially one that comes at the start of a weekend to help make the following days off even better. That’s why it’s exciting to see that both AT&T and U.S. Cellular are rolling out significant updates to their customers.
AT&T has announced that it’s pushing an update to its version of the LG G2. The update (D80020u) is a fairly small one, weighing in at just 39MB, but it brings a pretty significant new feature in Knock Code, LG’s special feature that allows a user to unlock his or her phone by tapping a pattern on its display. Also included in the update are Calendar and Exchange Active Sync improvements.
Meanwhile, U.S. Cellular is sending out an update (R950VXUCNE2) to its Galaxy Note II that bumps the phablet up to Android 4.4.2. It’s a major upgrade that includes a refreshed user interface, speedier multitasking thanks to memory optimization and faster touchscreen response time, wireless printing support and more.
While these two updates a fairly different when it comes to their size and the length of their changelogs, they both bring major new features to their respective devices. Kudos to AT&T and U.S. Cellular for showing their G2 and Note II-toting customers some love in the form of new software.
