Are you waiting for LG's G3?

If you love phones, and you happen to like using Google's mobile operating system, Android, then you've basically got a lot to look forward to every single year. Starting as early as January and going until the very end of the year, you get to see new devices unveiled all the time. It may take some time to get those handsets out into the world, but at least there's usually a pretty constant stream of new hardware (and software) finding its way out onto the market.

The best part is that you've got support from some of the best companies out there. HTC, Samsung, Motorola, and plenty of others are all focused on Android as their mobile platform of choice. The advantages are numerous, especially since if you look at an LG-branded device and a handset from HTC, the similarities will be few and far between.

But, for all the good that's out there, it can't all be rainbows and butterflies, right?

I don't know, maybe it is. Even if you don't like the market being flooded by new devices by one particular company, seeing so many released throughout the year, many of which push the envelope when it comes to certain aspects of our favorite mobile gadgets, can still be pretty exciting. The bad part might come in the fact that even if you might want to, you may not be able to buy all the phones you want.

So, being careful to pick and choose what you bring home is essential. Considering it's 2014 now, you may have had practice at when you start looking for a new phone, or maybe you just depend on the cycle of your wireless carrier's contract end date. Whatever the case, you probably know when the best time for you is to look for a new device, to get a good gauge on the competition and availability of all the handsets being planned for a particular year.

We're just about to get into the month of May, which means we're still heading into the busy season for phones. While Samsung and HTC --and others-- have released flagship devices for 2014, we've still got others to pay attention to. Samsung still has more devices to launch, too.

But, there's one company that managed to garner plenty of attention in 2013 with the release of one handset, and it has many people looking forward to the device's successor, which has just been teased for a launch sooner than later.

LG's G2 was a big hit last year, even if the sales didn't really compare to other company's top-of-the-line devices. LG was working at a major disadvantage to those other companies, though -- after so many years of lackluster devices, the G2 came out as a real surprise. LG's hoping that won't be the case this time around, though, as they prepare to release the G3 out into the world.

The leaks regarding LG's next big thing have been few and far between, but we do "know" as best we can without official confirmation of anything, that their next device will boast a QHD display, and have a new design for the buttons placed on the back of the device. We can guess it'll be a pretty powerful device, though, as LG looks to improve everything about the device they released last year.

My question to you is a simple one: Amidst the constant stream of phones throughout the year, is LG's upcoming G3 the handset that you're waiting for in particular? There are a lot of options out there, so why is LG's next flagship the device you're looking forward to? let me know!
