Samsung Galaxy S5, new Gear wearables to launch at AT&T on April 11

AT&T announced last month that it would sell Samsung’s Galaxy S5 as well as its new trio of wearables, the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit. However, AT&T didn’t reveal exactly when it would begin offering those devices, saying only that they’d begin shipping to consumers in early April. Today AT&T finally broke its silence and revealed exactly when it’ll begin selling all of this new Samsung hardware.

AT&T says that the Galaxy S5, Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will all be available in stores on April 11. Pricing for the four devices is as follows:

  • Galaxy S5: $199.99 with a two-year contract, $32.50 per month with AT&T Next 12, $25 per month with AT&T Next 18 or $649.99 full retail
  • Gear 2: $299
  • Gear 2 Neo: $199
  • Gear Fit: $199

Several other carriers have announced plans to begin offering Samsung’s new hardware on April 11, so it’s not exactly a surprise to learn that that’s the date that AT&T will begin sales as well. Still, it’s nice to get confirmation from the big blue carrier, because now AT&T customers can begin perfecting their “call in sick” voice so that they can spend all of Friday playing with their new toys.
