HTC continues to tease One successor with video highlighting metal unibody construction

Hot on the heels of a leaked video that gave us a long, clear look at the upcoming HTC M8, the Taiwanese device maker has released the second official teaser video for the follow-up to the HTC One.

Following the first video that highlighted HTC's BoomSound front-facing speakers, this new teaser focuses on the metal unibody design of the One. The video goes into detail about the materials used in the One's metal frame and the work that goes into creating and anodizing the shell. The scientist then pulls out the "new HTC One," describing it as "even sleeker" than the original model.

If the recent string of HTC M8/All New HTC One leaks are to be believed, the new flagship device will sport a metal body similar to the original One, but with corners that are slightly more rounded. Typically a manufacturer would be given some flak for using a similar design on two generations of its hardware, but considering that the HTC One received quite a bit of praise for its looks and build quality, I'm betting that a lot of folks won't mind if the HTC M8 ends up sporting a design that's reminiscent of its predecessor.
