Just as promised, the Oppo N1 CyanogenMod edition is now available for purchase. This limited model of the Oppo N1 runs CyanogenMod 10.2 out of the box and comes with 16GB of internal storage. Consumers that opt for the CyanogenMod-ified N1 over the regular Oppo N1 will also receive a case that's printed with mascots Cid and Ollie and some CyanogenMod stickers, all stuffed into special CyanogenMod packaging. The N1 CyanogenMod edition is priced at $599.
On the spec side of things, the N1 CyanogenMod edition is the same as its standard N1 sibling. That means that when you're looking at the phone, you'll see a 5.9-inch 1080p display staring back at you. Up at the top of the N1 is a 13-megapixel camera that can rotate 206 degrees so that it can be used as your rear camera or your front-facing selfie shooter. Diving inside of the N1, we're met with a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, HSPA+ connectivity and a 3610mAh battery.
In addition to helping to launch this special N1, the CyanogenMod team has made the factory images and source code for the device's CM 10.2 build available for download. The group has also released the code for the fresher CyanogenMod 11 build.
The Oppo N1 CyanogenMod edition is a big deal for the team behind the Android ROM that's racked up 10 million installs to date. Not only does it get the new company and its name attached to a piece of shipping hardware, this N1 is also the first CyanogenMod device to pass Google's Android CTS and CDD compatibility testing, giving it access to El Goog's batch of apps.
