Earlier this week, some leaked images showed off the Sony Xperia Z1s next to a ruler, giving us a good idea of the miniaturized handset's dimensions. Now another photo of the Xperia Z1s resting next to another object has made its way online, but this time the other object is the Z1s's big sibling.
A photo that purportedly shows the Xperia Z1s next to the Xperia Z1 has been posted to Chinese forum Digi-wo, showing that while the two handsets may share a similar design, the Xperia Z1s is clearly much smaller. For reference, the Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch 1080p display and the Xperia Z1s is rumored to be packing a 4.3-inch 720p screen.
Sony actually already introduced a shrunken version of the Xperia Z1 in Japan that's known as the Xperia Z1 f. The Xperia Z1s is expected to be the international variant of that Xperia Z1 f, which is good news for fans of miniaturized versions of flagship smartphones that don't feel like going to the trouble of trying to import a Z1 f. There's no word yet on when Sony is planning to launch the Xperia Z1 s, but hopefully its retail debut is close so that we can stop staring at it in leaked photos and see how it compares to its larger sibling for ourselves.
