Nexus 5 available for pre-order from Best Buy for $149.99 with Sprint contract, $449.99 without

Finally decide to pull the trigger on a Nexus 5, only to find that new orders from the Google Play Store won't be shipping for another two to four weeks? If you're already on Sprint or are willing to make the switch to the big yellow network, then you may be able to snag a new Nexus next week.

Best Buy is now accepting pre-orders for the 16GB Nexus 5 on its website at a price of $149.99 with a two-year contract or $449.99 without a commitment. Those are the same prices that Sprint is asking for its Nexus 5 pre-orders, though it's worth noting that buying from Sprint means that you'll need to send in a $50 mail-in rebate to hit that $149.99 price point. Both Best Buy and Sprint list the Nexus 5 with a release date of Nov. 8.

Best Buy and Sprint's contract-free pricing for the Nexus 5 is $100 higher than the Google Play Store, but if you've got a hankering for some KitKat and don't want to wait several weeks to satisfy that craving, this is certainly one way that you could get your fix. Since both companies are offering the Nexus 5 at a subsidized price of $149.99, buying from them is also an option for folks that want Google's new Nexus but can't or don't want to shell out hundreds of dollars at once. If you've already grabbed your credit card and are ready to click that pre-order button, you can find links to each Nexus 5 model below.
