In the hunt for a way to protect that shiny new Nexus 7 and its high-res display? Google is happy to oblige. The company just added a new official case for the Nexus 7 (2013) to the Google Play Store that features a microsuede cover and built-in stand with a couple of different viewing angles. The case is available in black, white with red accents, gray with red accents and gray with blue accents. Pricing for all four versions is set at $49.99, and Google says that new orders will ship by Oct. 9.
Obviously this official Google case for the Nexus 7 (2013) is a tad on the pricey side, but it looks like a fairly well-made case that can also serve as a stand for those times that you need to bang out a message or watch a video. The little flag on the side with Google's colors is a nice touch as well.
