Latest HTC One Max leaks include spec list and more clear photos

The HTC One Max has frequented the rumor mill quite a bit in recent months, so much so that one might think the device has already been announced. That stream of leaks continues flowing today, as the supersized One is the subject of two new leaks.

First up, it appears that a Sina Weibo account belonging to part of carrier China Mobile may have outed some of the One Max's spec information before HTC's official announcement. The account recently shared the image you see above, detailing an HTC device referred to as the "8088" that features a 5.9-inch 1920x1080 display, 1.7GHz processor and 3300mAh battery, all of which are features that the One Max is rumored to include. The image suggests that the One Max will be introduced in October.

In case that's not enough to whet your appetite for big phones, a handful of photos showing the HTC One Max itself recently surfaced on Sina Weibo as well. The shots don't reveal much that we didn't already know, but they do give us a clear look at the upcoming phone/tablet hybrid, including the square cutout beneath its camera that rumors suggest could eventually house a fingerprint scanner. One of the images also shows an About phone screen that identifies the One Max as the "HTC 8088" backing up the aforementioned China Mobile spec leak.

HTC's One Max is shaping up to be a nice option for fans of the giganto-phone category, combining the design of the OG One with what's rumored to be a huge screen and a fairly high-end spec sheet. The good news is that it appears that the device could finally be getting close to its official introduction, and so it may not be long before we attempt to wrap our hands around HTC's latest and find out exactly how it performs.
