The HTC One is #1 for August 2013

For another month, the HTC One dominated the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts.  A crowd favorite, HTC’s flagship Android smartphone offers a metal exterior, powerful specifications, and a wealth of software features including HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe capabilities for recording life’s memories as they happen.  As the holiday shopping season approaches, the HTC One will be competing with the recently announced LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3.  Can it retain the winning streak through the remainder of 2013?

MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media is pleased to announce the monthly winners for August 2013 in the Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR).  For a fifth month in a row, the HTC One topped the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, receiving 1,499 total votes and 241 expert points.  Now available on Verizon Wireless and in red on Sprint, HTC’s Android smartphone has received praise from experts and users alike for the metal exterior, powerful specifications, software benefits, and availability on multiple carriers in the United States.

In second place on the People’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy S 4, with 378 votes.  Available on multiple carriers in the U.S., the Galaxy S 4 offers a wealth of software features including Air Gesture, Air View, and more.  In addition to the launch colors, the Galaxy S 4 is available in brown autumn on Verizon Wireless, red aurora on AT&T, and purple mirage on Sprint.  Returning to third place on the People’s Choice chart with a total of 337 votes, the Samsung Galaxy Note II.  On the Expert’s Choice chart, the Apple iPhone 5 placed second with 183 votes, while the Samsung Galaxy S 4 held its third place position with 172 points.
