The price of the Nexus 4 has officially been slashed by $100, leaving the 8GB model at a price of $199, while the more capacious 16GB variant is set at $249. And yes, just as before, those are the prices for unlocked and commitment-free hardware.
The Nexus 4 may not be the freshest Android hardware on the block, having originally launched in the Google Play Store way back in November 2012, but it's still got a fairly respectable feature set that includes a 4.7-inch 1280x768 display and 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Mix in its ability to play nicely with both AT&T and T-Mobile's HSPA+ networks and its speedy Android updates, and you've got yourself quite a smartphone bargain on your hands. UPDATE: Google just announced that it's cut the price of the Nexus 4 by 25 percent or more in Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain, Korea, U.S. and the U.K.
