Looks like AT&T customers will soon have yet another Nokia Lumia handset to choose from.
AT&T announced this morning that it will launch the Nokia Lumia 925 on Sept. 13, with pricing set at $99.99 with a two-year commitment. Customers that'd prefer to utilize AT&T's Next upgrade program can expect to pony up $21 per month for this aluminum-clad Lumia. AT&T says that pre-orders for its Lumia 925 will kick off on Aug. 28.
Originally announced by Nokia in May, the Lumia 925 sports a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display with a resolution of 1280x768 on its face as well as an 8.7-megapixel PureView camera around back. Packed inside the 925's aluminum frame is a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 4G LTE connectivity and a 2,000mAh battery that powers the whole show.
This isn't the first time that we've seen the Lumia 925 make its way onto a U.S. carrier, as T-Mobile launched a silver version of the 925 back in July. It appears that Magenta's exclusivity period on the 925 is coming to an end, though, and AT&T has even earned itself an exclusive black version of device for its patience. Even though I'm sure that some non-AT&T Windows Phone fans are groaning at the sight of the big blue carrier adding yet another Lumia to its shelves, it's always good to see smartphones make their way onto multiple U.S. carriers, giving more consumers the opportunity to pick up a particular device without being forced to switch operators.
