Samsung SCH-W789 Android flip phone official, packs two 3.3-inch touchscreens and Android 4.1

Well, that didn't take long. Just 24 hours after some press images of Samsung's SCH-W789 "Hennessey" Android flip phone leaked out, the is now officially official. The W789 has been revealed on Samsung's Chinese website, giving us a clear look at the unique device along with a full rundown of its spec sheet. Here's what's packed inside Samsung's newest Android-powered clamshell:

  • Dual 3.3-inch 480x320 touchscreens
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • microSD card slot
  • CDMA (800/1900MHz) and GSM (800/900/1900MHz) connectivity
  • 1,500mAh battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

As I mentioned when the W789 leaked out yesterday, the odds of this device ever making its way to the U.S. are slimmer than slim. That's kind of a bummer considering how much a dual-touchscreen toting Android clamshell stands out in the sea of large slabs that is the current smartphone market, but hey, at least we can still ogle it from afar thanks to these official images.
