HTC's first full Robert Downey Jr. 'Change' ad leaks out [UPDATED]

HTC announced earlier this week that the first part of its new "Change" ad campaign starring Robert Downey Jr. will hit the media on Aug. 15, but as is usually the case with the Internet, the full ad spot has leaked out ahead of that date. Posted to YouTube by user "DeepThroatTW," the 1 minute and 44 second clip involves ol' RDJ coming up with different things that "HTC" could stand for, playing along with HTC's whole "It's anything you want it to be!" message.

HTC has said that it signed Downey Jr. to a two-year ad deal and that the "Change" campaign will be split into three parts that focus on the HTC brand, its phones and how people use them. We'll just have to wait and see if the campaign can help HTC to sell more phones, but at the very least, showing the widely-recognizable Robert Downey Jr. shooting a Hot Tea Catapult or Holding That Cat could help to get people talking more about the ads themselves.

UPDATE: And just as soon as this post went live, so did HTC's official version of the ad. Check out the clearer, higher-quality clip below.
