Us regular folk may be stuck ogling the Moto X in leaked images until the phone's launch, but Google chairman Eric Schmidt apparently already has a unit all for himself. Some photos of Schmidt using a Moto X at yesterday's Allen & Co. business conference have been posted by Italian site Corriere.it, and it appears that the exec has opted for a model with a white textured rear and black front. The Moto X itself looks similar to the units that we've seen in the past, sporting a center mounted camera with a flash below it and a speaker to the right, as well as a headphone jack up top.
The Moto X is one of Motorola's upcoming flagship smartphones, and a recent ad for the device touted it as "the first smartphone that you can design yourself." Motorola hasn't said exactly what level of customization that users will have, but it's rumored that buyers will be able to choose different colors for the front and rear plates and possibly engrave the phone as well. The Moto X is expected to hit all four major U.S. carriers with a relatively bloat-free version of Android 4.2.2 in tow.
There's still no word on when the Moto X will launch or how much it'll cost when it does, but apparently the phone is far enough along that Eric Schmidt doesn't mind whipping one out in public. You can find a couple more photos of Schmidt and his two-toned Moto X below.
