Rumors of BlackBerry's next flagship smartphone have been floating around for months now, with the most recent report pegging the device as the "BlackBerry A10." However, the name and flagship status are just about the only two details we've learned about the device thus far. It appears that that's changing today, as a new image claiming to show the A10 in the wild has made its way online.
Shared by BGR, the photo shows a full-touch device with the BlackBerry 10 lock screen. The front of the A10 is black, save for a white chin underneath the BlackBerry branding, and up top we can see an earpiece and front-facing camera. Smack dab in the middle is the display, which is reportedly of the 5-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED variety. There's no photo of this unit's backside, but the rear of the A10 is reportedly going to be similar to the Q10's backside.
Today's leak also contains an "About" screenshot that's said to have been pulled from the device. The model is identified as "ARISTO," and the software that's been loaded onto the unit is version 10.2.0.552.
Along with its 5-inch 720p display, the BlackBerry A10 is rumored to include a dual-core processor and separate graphics chip. The rest of the device's feature set is a mystery for now, but since the A10 is expected to claim flagship status at launch, it would make sense for it to include at least some specs that are above what the Z10 currently offers. Speaking of release, it's said that the A10 is slated to begin arriving sometime this fall. We've already heard that a launch on Sprint is in the cards, so you BlackBerry fans on the Now Network may want to start planning out which pocket you'll cram the A10 and its 5-inch display into.
