White Nexus 4 captured on video again

Most of our early peeks at the white Google Nexus 4 have come thanks to still images, offering us a view of the still-unannounced smartphone just lounging around in the wild. There's nothing wrong with those leaked shots, but any mobile addict will tell you that video is always better than photos when it comes to leaked hardware. We've only seen the white Nexus 4 in a single video to date, but today there's some good news for those of us interested in the white unicorn Nexus, because another clip showing the phone in action has made its way online.

While spending some time at Google I/O 2013, Andrew at MobileBurn managed to get his hands on a white Nexus 4 thanks to an unnamed person that apparently already has a unit. Just as we've seen in the past, this white Nexus 4 looks to be similar to the regular black model in every way, save for that white paint job. That white color covers the back of the phone and wraps around to its sides, but the front of the white Nexus 4 is actually black, just like the white Nexus S and white Galaxy Nexus before it.

Considering how many times we've seen this white Nexus 4 pop up so far in 2013, you'd be forgiven for thinking that it's already been made official and is available for purchase. However, neither Google nor LG have uttered a word about this unit's existence, even though I/O 2013 seems like it would've been as good a place as any to announce it. The good news is that a recent rumor suggested that this white Nexus might finally be put up for sale on June 10, possibly even with Android 4.3 in tow. That's still unconfirmed at this point, and MobileBurn says that this unit's owner didn't know anything about a launch date, but here's to hoping that it holds true so that we can stop staring at the white Nexus 4 on our screens and start spending some time with it IRL.
