Sony hasn't announced any plans to bring its new Xperia Z flagship smartphone stateside, but apparently the Federal Communications Commission has. A new filing on the FCC's website has revealed a version of the Xperia Z that's headed for T-Mobile, complete with all of the HSPA+ and LTE support that a T-Mo-bound phone needs.
Included with the report is a handful of photos showing the Xperia Z's interior and exterior as well as a user manual for the device, which looks similar to the international model that debut earlier this year. Also in the FCC filing is a user manual that contains T-Mobile branding and a whole lot of magenta.
Since we haven't heard a peep from Sony or T-Mobile about this version of the Xperia Z, it's not known when the device could actually hit store shelves. The fact that it's made its way through the FCC means that it's one step closer to doing just that, though, which is good news for anyone on T-Mobile that's been patiently awaiting more information on the Xperia Z since the T-Mo-branded version leaked out last month.
