AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S 4 pre-order page now shows April 23 ship date [UPDATED]

AT&T hasn't announced when its version of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be launching, but the big blue carrier did begin accepting pre-orders for the device earlier this week, and at that time it estimated that buyers would start receiving their units on April 30. That date changed today, and the good news is that it's been moved up. AT&T's Galaxy S 4 product page now says that orders will be shipped out on April 23, a full week earlier than the previous estimate given by Big Blue.

One detail about the AT&T Galaxy S 4 that hasn't changed is its price tag. That means that buyers will be ponying up $199.99 with a two-year contract or $449.99 with a one-year commitment for a 16GB Galaxy S 4 in either White Frost or Black Mist. The full retail price is set at $639.99.

So long as this estimated ship date of April 23 holds true, AT&T customers that pre-order could be some of the first wireless users in the U.S. to get hold of the Galaxy S 4. T-Mobile has said that it'll start selling the device online on April 24, but the magenta carrier won't actually begin selling the S 4 in stores until May 1. On the CDMA side of things, Sprint is slated to begin offering the Galaxy S 4 on April 27, and Verizon's launch is scheduled to go down sometime in May.

As usual, you can bet that we'll be keep our ears to the ground for more details on AT&T's Galaxy S 4 launch plans. If you've already plunked down your hard-earned cash for a unit, though, it may be wise to keep an eye on your inbox in the coming days.

UPDATE: As spotted by PhoneDog commenter Steve Hartsock, AT&T's estimated ship date for both the White Frost and Black Mist versions of the Galaxy S 4 has been changed back to April 30.
