Heads up, Sprint folks, because a new ZTE-made device that's headed your way soon has just leaked out. Some new photos and spec details of a device referred to as the ZTE Quantum have been posted by Android Police, which got its goodies from an anonymous source. The Quantum, which also goes by the model number N9810, is said to feature a 5-inch 1280x720 display and 0.9-megapixel camera on its face. Around back is a 13-megapixel shooter with a flash.
Moving inside the ZTE Quantum's body, there's reportedly a 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, NFC, Wi-Fi and Sprint 4G LTE connectivity. Android 4.1.2 is running the show here, and looking at the images of the Quantum, it appears that ZTE will be doing some light skinning of Google's mobile operating system. Along with the images, the Quantum/N9810 has appeared in some AnTuTu benchmark results and recently got its Wi-Fi (PDF) and DLNA (PDF) certifications.
The ZTE Quantum is said to be undergoing Sprint testing, but there's no word yet on when it'll make its way out of Sprint's labs and onto its shelves. Whenever it does, it'll have one of the largest screens of any smartphone in Sprint's lineup, coming in second behind the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II. We've seen Sprint push out a couple of other ZTE handsets lately in the Flash and Force, and now it looks like the two companies will continue working together on this device. Pricing information for the Quantum is still up in the air, but if its leaked specs hold true, I wouldn't be surprised to see it earn a price tag of $100 to $150 with a contract.
