The flurry of new iOS releases continues today. Apple just released an update to iOS 6.1.2 that includes a fix for the Microsoft Exchange bug that we heard about last week. The issue was caused by a bug that would create "excessive communication" with an Exchange server when the user would respond to an exception to a recurring calendar event. This led to both increased network activity, eating up more of a user's data, as well as a reduction in battery life.
This iOS update is the third we've seen in the past month, with iOS 6.1 rolling out in late January and iOS 6.1.1 hitting iPhone 4S users last week. It's kind of strange to see so many updates rolling out to iOS devices in such a short window of time, but it means that Apple is patching issues that crop up in a fairly timely manner, so I'm sure that most iOS folk don't mind the frequent updates. The bump up to iOS 6.1.2 can be had by going into Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS hardware, so if you've got an iOS 6-compatible device, grab that thing and get to downloading!
