Black HTC One purportedly shown off in latest image leak

It looks like anyone hungry for more HTC One details won't starve in the days leading up to HTC's big Feb. 19 event. A new purported press image of the HTC One has been posted by @evleaks on Unwired View, and this time it's the black version of the device that's getting shown off. The unit itself looks similar to the white model that leaked earlier this week, with some sensors in the upper left corner, a camera in the upper right and a unique button layout on the bottom, with an HTC logo smack dab in the middle of a Back button and a Home button. One of the only differences between this leak and the previous one is that while the white model showed London as the city in its weather widget, this one is displaying the temperature for New York.

The HTC One, previously known by its codename of M7, is expected to finally be given an official introduction at HTC's shindig on Feb. 19. The device will likely claim the title of HTC's new flagship Android smartphone once its debuts, and it'll also help to carry on HTC's "One" branding that it launched with the One X, One S and One V nearly a year ago. Obviously U.S. availability of the One has yet to be officially nailed down, but the device is rumored to be headed for the shelves of multiple carriers. Here's to hoping that that's actually the case, because there's not much that's more frustrating in the mobile world than seeing a hot new smartphone that's only made available to the customers of a single operator.
