The Samsung Galaxy Note II has remained the #1 People's Choice and Experts' top smartphone for eight weeks and counting in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. Three weeks into 2013, the Galaxy Note II still shows no signs of slowing down. However, the onslaught of 5-inch 1080p smartphones is among us. It's only a matter of time before a manufacturer pieces together the perfect combination of specifications and software again.
MT PLEASANT, SC – For 46 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has successfully raised the bar in ranking the market's hottest devices by taking both readers' and experts' votes. This time around, the Samsung Galaxy Note II led both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Experts' Chart by a fair margin. It led the Nokia Lumia 920 in People's Choice Chart by 155 votes. And it bested the #2 Apple iPhone 5 in the Mobile Tech Experts' Chart by six expert points.
For the People's Choice Chart in week 46, the Nokia Lumia 920 took second place, beating the Samsung Galaxy S III in third place by only 29 total votes. The Google Nexus 4 trailed in the #4 spot by 12 votes. On the Mobile Tech Experts' Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 garnered 33 points for week 46. In the #3 spot was the HTC DROID DNA with 30 points. Fourth and fifth, respectively, belonged to the Samsung Galaxy S III with 15 points and the Nokia Lumia 920 with 14 points.
