Windows Phone 8 is coming to Sprint 'soon,' support page says

Sprint doesn't exactly have the deepest Windows Phone lineup of any U.S. carrier, with the Now Network launching just one smartphone running Microsoft's new mobile OS to date: the Windows Phone 7-powered HTC Arrive (pictured above) that hit Sprint's shelves in March 2011. Hesse and Co. recently promised that it'd address its Windows Phone deficiency in 2013 with some new 4G LTE-capable Windows Phone 8 hardware, and while details of Sprint's upcoming Windows Phone product(s) are still up in the air, a page on the carrier's site suggests that it won't be long before we hear more. Sprint has posted a new support page that declares that "Windows Phone 8 is coming soon!"

While this new statement from Sprint doesn't offer up any details on upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices, it's still reason enough for Windows Phone fans on the Now Network to get excited considering how the carrier's roster of handsets has been rather light on the Live Tiles to date. The good news is that we know that whatever hardware Sprint's got up its sleeve, it'll have access to the Sprint 4G LTE network, which is currently live in 49 areas and will be rolling out to many more in the coming months. How many of you Sprint customers have stuck with your carrier through its Windows Phone drought and are looking forward to the arrival of a new Windows Phone 8 device?
