Hot on the heels of the appearance of a BlackBerry 10 device in the FCC's database, another unit has appeared on the agency's website. This time we're looking at a device with the model number RFH121LW, and just as with yesterday's handset, details on this new model are fairly light. The different software versions listed in the FCC's test report include 10.0.9.341, 10.0.9.38-, 10.0.9.542 and 10.0.9.785, and the outline of the device reveals another slab-style piece of hardware like the one that we reported on yesterday. The RFH121LW is listed as having support for WCDMA band 5 as well as a number of bands that aren't operational in North America, including WCDMA bands 1 and 8 and LTE 3, 7, 8 and 20.
As before, it's not clear exactly which BlackBerry 10 unit we're looking at in this particular FCC listing. Considering the different bands (most of which aren't used in North America) and the slab outline, though, it's possible that the RFH121LW is a international flavor of the L-Series that had to get okayed by the FCC since it does have some U.S.-friendly band support. It's still not known exactly when the L-Series will be launching to the public, but the full-touch device is expected to be the first BlackBerry 10 unit to be released. RIM will officially unveil its first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones at a launch event for the new OS on Jan. 30, so it won't be long before we actually get an official look at the L-Series rather than having to rely on leaks and FCC outlines.
