The string of Multi-Window updates for carrier-branded versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note II continues! This time it's U.S. Cellular that's doing the updating, pumping out some new software that'll bring its Note II up to baseband version R950VXALL1 and brings with it several tweaks. Along with the aforementioned Multi-Window functionality, which allows users to run two apps from a select list at the same time on a split-screen, there's a fix for the camera Burst Mode that'd cause some pictures to display as black images as well as a solution for an issue that'd cause the Note II to cycle between 3G and 1X service. It's worth noting that this leaked document claims that Note II owners will be on Android 4.1.4 after installing this maintenance update, but that's likely a typo, as U.S. Cellular's site lists the Android version as 4.1.1. In order to install this update, you U.S. Cellular Note II folk need to connect to Wi-Fi and then head into Settings > About Device > Software Update. While this may not be the biggest update we've ever seen, it does include the big new Multi-Window feature, so anyone that's got a U.S. Cellular Note II that calls their pocket home will likely want to grab this update as soon as possible. After all, what Note II owner wouldn't want to spend a weekend Multi-Windowing from sunrise to sunset?
