BlackBerry 10 L-Series device caught hanging out with iPhone 5, Lumia 820 and Galaxy Note

The BlackBerry 10 L-Series device has already leaked more times than most can probably keep track of, but the still-unannounced handset has surfaced in a new photo that's worth taking a look at, even for folks that've seen one of the previous leaks. A photo posted in the forums of BlackBerry Fans shows the L-Series in the wild, resting next to the Apple iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 820 and Samsung Galaxy Note. The image also offers another look at a few rows of apps and their icons on the L-Series smartphone.

Comparing the four handsets shown in this image, the L-Series looks to be just a smidge larger than the Lumia 820, with the iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note claiming the roles of smallest and largest, respectively. The app icons on the L-Series also look to be slightly tweaked from the last time that we saw them, with the black borders from the icons for the App World and BBM now gone.

RIM has said that the first BlackBerry 10 handset it launches will be a full-touch model, and it's expected that that device will be this L-Series handset. There's still no word on precisely when that release will happen, but RIM has scheduled a BlackBerry 10 launch event for January 30, and a company exec has said that the first phone will hit the market "not too long after" that. So after getting a peek at the L-Series next to some of its competition, what do you think of RIM's new smartphone?
