Sony Xperia TL arriving on AT&T November 2 for $99.99

AT&T first confirmed plans to offer the Sony Xperia TL on October 1, but at that time the big blue carrier wasn't quite ready to spill the availability beans. Fast-forward a few weeks and things have changed. AT&T today announced that the Xperia TL will be available starting November 2, complete with a price tag of $99.99 with a two-year contract. The TL is being touted by AT&T as "the official Bond phone" since it'll be used by James Bond in the upcoming movie Skyfall, and the TL will come preloaded with James Bond content. What other kinds of specs does James Bond's new phone tout? Here's the list:

  • 4.55-inch 1280x720 HD Reality display
  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • 13-megapixel rear camera, second front-facing camera
  • 16GB storage, microSD slot
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

While the Xperia TL will launch with Android 4.0 in tow, AT&T has said that the device will be upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean after its release. Exactly when that update will happen is still a mystery, but at least anyone interested in the Xperia TL can buy the device knowing that an upgrade to Google's latest software is coming at some point. If you'd like to see the Xperia TL in action, you can check out Aaron's hands-on video with it below. He may not be a 00 agent like Bond, but he's certainly got the hair for the part.
