LG Nexus 4 given its own product page on Carphone Warehouse site, complete with spec list

Despite what one might think after seeing all of the LG Nexus 4 leaks and images that we've seen, the device has not yet been made official by Google or LG. However, that hasn't stopped one U.K. retailer from putting the handset up for pre-order on its website. Carphone Warehouse now has a page for the Nexus 4 on its website, complete with spec details similar to the ones that've already emerged as well as one of those renders that surfaced yesterday. Here are the features that Carphone Warehouse says that we can expect from the Nexus 4:

  • 4.7-inch 1280x768 display
  • 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 8-megapixel rear camera with a second shooter around front
  • 8GB storage
  • 2GB RAM
  • NFC
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (though one bullet point also says Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean)
  • An "amazing 360° camera"
  • "Gesture Typing" that allows users to spell out words by sliding a finger from letter to letter

The Carphone Warehouse page urges customers to pre-order the Nexus 4, claiming that that delivery will happen as soon as October 30. It's also worth noting that The Verge has received a photo of what may be the Carphone Warehouse inventory system showing entries for black and white Nexus 4 models. The price listed for the SIM-free version of the device is £389.95. It's not yet clear how much Google may be planning to charge for the Nexus 4 here in the U.S., but thanks to all of the leaks that we've gotten up to this point, at least interested customers have a pretty good idea of what kind of specs we'll see in the new handset once it launches.

Google is expected to introduce the LG Nexus 4 at its Android event on October 29. We'll be there live to bring you the news as it happens, so, you know, you'll probably want to keep it locked to PhoneDog for more.
