The new iPhone leaks and rumors just don't stop coming. Today a new report from BGR claims to have some details on the unannounced device, including some possible spec information. According to the site's "trusted source," the next-generation iPhone is current in the third revision of its engineering test stage (EVT3) and has yet to move on to the design engineering test stage. The final version of the device has reportedly not yet entered production. As far as features go, the iPhones currently in testing are said to feature 1GB RAM, 4G LTE and NFC. In addition to this production and spec information, some new cases purportedly made to fit the iPhone 5 have begun appearing online. The cases are currently available for purchase from TVC-Mall, and they appear to follow the same design of the leaked panels that we've seen. As you can see in the shot below, the case looks to have room to accomodate a taller screen than the one found on the iPhone 4S. The bottom of the case also has a smaller dock connector cutout, and one of the speaker openings is larger and rounded on one side to allow for a headphone jack.
It's worth noting that just the presence of these cases doesn't guarantee that this will be the design that the new iPhone sports when it's unveiled. Last year we saw a number of cases with tapered, "tear drop" designs appear online ahead of the launch of the iPhone 4S. Ultimately, though, the iPhone 4S retained the same look as the iPhone 4 rather than adopting that new tapered design. However, we've seen a number of purported iPhone 5 panels appear online, and apparently some case makers are confident enough that that's what the new device will look like that they've gone ahead and begun producing cases that follow that look.
