It hasn't even been 24 hours since Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was officially unveiled by Google, but it looks like a preview build of the update has already leaked for Galaxy Nexus owners. Google announced at I/O that attendees would be receiving a free Galaxy Nexus, and that device was slated to receive an update to Jelly Bean shortly after being turned on. Unsurprisingly, the update has leaked out online and is now available to install on both the GSM and Verizon Galaxy Nexus. The build for the Verizon model includes working 4G LTE.
It's worth noting that this is a preview version of Android 4.1 that's meant to give I/O-goers an early peek at Jelly Bean on the Galaxy Nexus. The full version of Android 4.1 is expected to hit the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Motorola XOOM in mid-July. If you just can't wait that long, though, these leaked builds are now available. You'll need to root your device to install them, and as is usually the case with leaked updates, you should probably only flash them if you're sure you know what you're doing.
