Booting the Samsung Galaxy Note and Apple iPhone 4S from their #1 positions in April, the HTC One X tops both the People’s Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert’s Chart in PhoneDog Media’s Official Smartphone Rankings™ for the month of May.

Now three-months-old, the program takes readers’ and experts’ votes each week and ranks the hottest handsets on the market in respective charts.
For the month of May, the HTC One X was king, taking the #1 position in both charts. The One X bested the Nokia Lumia 900 by 230 votes in the People’s Choice Chart. And in the Mobile Tech Expert’s Chart, the One X edged out the Apple iPhone 4S with 172 total points for the month.
The Nokia Lumia 900 remains in the #2 spot in the People’s Choice Chart for the month of May, while the Samsung Galaxy Note slips from first (April) to third. The Nokia Lumia 900 beat the Samsung Galaxy Note by margin of 354 user votes. In the Mobile Tech Expert’s Chart, the Apple iPhone 4S dropped from first place in April to second in May with 168 total points. And the HTC One S found its way to the #3 spot with 90 points.
