Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 pre-orders kick off, pricing set at $399.99 for 16GB model

Last month Samsung announced that pre-orders for the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2 would be kicking off on May 4th, and now that that date has come and gone, anyone interested in the slate can indeed plunk down the cash to guarantee themselves one. The 10.1-inch Tab 2 is available for pre-order at retailers like Amazon and Office Depot, with pricing for the 16GB model set at $399.99. As for when the Tab 2 will actually arrive at your place of residence, things differ a bit between the two aforementioned outlets, with Office Depot listing the tablet with a May 11th launch while Amazon is expecting it on May 13th.

So what can you expect to get for your hard-earned $399.99? Well, the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2 is packing specs like a 1280x800 screen resolution, 1GHz dual-core processor, 3-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras and a 7,000mAh battery. The slate is also packing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, which is a welcome sight. If all that sounds like your cup of tablet tea, you can find the pre-order button waiting for your click at both Amazon and Office Depot below.
