ZTE Optik B09 software update outed by Sprint

Owners of the ZTE Optik on Sprint are now getting a nice surprise to help them get over their case of the Mondays, as it's been announced that a new update has begun making its way to the 7-inch tablet. The update is version B09 (build number V55V1.1.0B09) and brings a handful of tweaks related to Google Music, SIM City and other aspects of the Optik. Here's the full rundown of changes:

ZTE Optik Software Update - B09

Enhancements/Fixes:

  • Google DRM solution
  • Google Music
  • Google+
  • Persistent notification after BT transfer
  • Software version corrected in x-wap profile
  • Sim City closes when attempting to purchase while connected to Wifi
  • Sim City download issue fixed
  • Response when connected to a computer via USB cable

Looks like a nice little maintenance update, and I'm sure Optik owners are glad to be receiving their first new batch of software since the slate landed on Sprint's shelves back in February. Sprint lists the B09's release date as April 16th, aka today, so you Optik owners that have yet to taste it can head into Settings > About tablet > System updates > Update Android > Check now to manually look for the update. Don't forget to take a break from your happy update dance to let us know when you get B09 installed!
