U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II now available online, hits stores tomorrow

It was just a little over a week ago that U.S. Cellular announced that the Samsung Galaxy S II would be "coming soon" to its stable of Android devices, and it looks like the carrier wasn't kidding. The Galaxy S II is now available for purchase on U.S. Cellular's website, with pricing set at $229.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate and two-year contract. If you'd prefer a brick and mortar buying experience, you won't have long to wait for your crack at the GSII, as U.S. Cellular says that the handset will be available in stores tomorrow, March 1st. Here's what the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S II's spec rundown looks like:

  • 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter
  • 16GB internal storage
  • 1,800mAh battery
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread

So there you go, U.S. Cellular folk. It's good to see the Galaxy S II make its way to U.S. Cellular's shelves, and although it won't have access to the carrier's upcoming LTE network, the GSII still looks like a good option for USCC subscribers in the market for a new high-end smartphone. Any of you U.S. Cellular users thinking about picking up the Galaxy S II?
