LG X3 spec details surface again, benchmark test result brought along for the ride

Nearly a month after it first showed its face, the quad-core LG X3 is back in the news thanks to another batch of leaked information. A report out of MoDaCo today claims to have the goods on the X3 (model number P880) courtesy of an LG source. The tipster claims that the handset will feature a 4.7-inch 1280x720 display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel shooter around front, 16GB internal storage, 2,000mAh battery and Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The X3 will also have a quad-core Tegra 3 processor under its hood that'll be clocked at 1.4GHz when on multiple cores or 1.5GHz when only a single core is in use. Lastly, the X3 was put to the test in the latest version of the Quadrant benchmarking tool and produced a score of 4,412.

Most of the specs found in MoDaCo's report line up with what we've heard about the X3 in the past, though it's worth noting that the last time the handset leaked, it was mentioned that NFC support would also be on board. Intrigued by the X3's feature list and the (what appears to be) fairly stock version of ICS teased by these screenshots? It may not be long before this thing's made officially official, as many expect the X3 to be announced at Mobile World Congress, which kicks off in just a couple of weeks. We'll be live on the ground at the big event, so you can bet that we'll be bringing you the latest on the X3 if it does indeed make the trip to Barcelona.
