LG C2X rumored to be known as "3D MAX" when it debuts

Remember that LG Optimus 3D successor that we saw earlier this week? At the time, the device was being referred to by the name "CX2," but a new report has suggested that LG's got something slightly less codename-y planned for when the handset actually comes to market. According to a source speaking to GSM-Israel, the phone will be known by the name "3D MAX" when it hits retail. There's no mention of "Optimus" in GSM-Israel's report, but considering that several of LG's other Android products have included it in their titles, it's also possible that the CX2 will be introduced as the "Optimus 3D MAX."

In case you missed the original CX2 leak, the device you see above is purportedly packing a 4.3-inch WVGA NOVA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, dual 5-megapixel shooters, 8GB internal storage and a body that measures in a below 10mm thick. Sound like something you'd be interested in? Then you'll want to keep it locked to PhoneDog during Mobile World Congress at the tail end of next month, as the 3D handset and its official name are expected to debut at the big show in Barcelona. What do you all make of the CX2/3D MAX? Do you have any interest in a 3D smartphone?
