HTC Ville rumored to be T-Mobile-bound as roadmap leak teases the carrier's upcoming release dates

Heads up, T-Mobile customers! If a new rumor out of Pocketnow is to be believed, an HTC-made Ice Cream Sandwich handset may be headed your way soon. The site claims that the Ville, which is rumored to include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 8-megapixel camera, will be making its way to T-Mobile's shelves at some point in the future. Unfortunately, no potential release window was mentioned. Other purported features of the HTC Ville include a 4.3-inch qHD (960x540) Super AMOLED display, 1,650mAh battery and a body that's less than 8mm thick.

The folks at Pocketnow have also heard that HTC is prepping a new service dubbed "HTC Family" that'll allegedly be a way for family members to easily communicate with one another. Family is said to include a place for people to leave messages for other users as well as a geolocation feature for keeping tabs on the whereabouts of your loved ones. Sounds handy for parents, maybe less so for rebellious teens?

We've also got another T-Mobile leak for all of you members of the Magenta Army to sink your teeth into. Our pals at TmoNews have gotten hold of a T-Mobile roadmap that covers the first three months of 2012 and teases a few device launches that are scheduled for the near future. The problem? There's no product names attached to the dates, so although we know that something is coming on a certain date, we don't know what that something could be. The dates mentioned in the roadmap are:

  • January 11th (which is the Nokia Lumia 710)
  • January 18th
  • February 15th (two devices listed on this date)
  • March 21st

It's kind of a bummer that we there's no mention on this leaked roadmap of exactly what devices these launch dates are for, but hey, at least we can keep the days in the back of our mind for now. As for the HTC Ville rumor, we actually saw a few high-end HTC handsets leak at the tail end of last year and, as Pocketnow points out, T-Mobile has a history of releasing some impressive phones made by the Taiwanese firm, so it makes sense that at least one of them would be Magenta-bound. Now the wait for a release date begins.
