Looks like it's time to pour one out for another Dell Android tablet. Earlier this year saw Dell give its Streak 5 slate the axe, and now the Streak 7 has seemingly suffered the same fate. The Streak 7 is nowhere to be found on T-Mobile's online store, and searching for the device on Dell's own store returns a message explaining that the "Streak 7 is no longer available online."
The Streak 7 never seemed to get quite as much love as many other Android tablets, especially the T-Mobile variant, which was recently denied an update to Honeycomb that other versions of the Streak 7 ended up receiving. As for future Dell Android tablets, it's been a while since we've heard any details on new U.S.-bound devices. A photo of the Dell Streak 10 Pro emerged waaaay back in July, but Dell's made no mention of when, or if, we'll ever see it stateside. Perhaps Dell will have some juicy tablet information to share at CES next month? We'll just have to wait and see.
UPDATE: Dell has issued a statement explaining that the Streak 7 is still "available in many markets through retail, distributors and carrier partners such as Optus in Australia." It went on mention that the Streak 10 Pro is currently available in China, but didn't utter a word about potential U.S. availability. However, a Dell PR rep told The Verge that the company is "not backing away from Android" but didn't offer any details on devices that Dell may have in the pipeline. More reason to keep an eye out at CES, I suppose. The statement straight from Dell:
