T-Mobile Magenta Saturday sale knocks all smartphone prices down to $49.99 or less after rebate

If you recall, we learned at the tail end of October that T-Mobile was planning another one of its all-hands days for November 19th, likely for a sale similar to the "Yes, Every Smartphone Is on Sale, Sale" that went down in September. Looks like our speculation was correct, as the folks at T-Mobile have officially announced that the 19th will be known as "Magenta Saturday." The promo will allow customers to purchase any smartphone or select mobile broadband device (like the Streak 7 or G-Slate) for a total down payment of $49.99 or less after mail-in rebate.

To get the discount, customers will need to sign up for an Unlimited Value plan with 2GB of data or more per month. The deal's also open to existing customers that are eligible for an upgrade (18 months tenure or more) and are willing to switch to the aforementioned Value plan. You can find a partial pricing list below, and an expanded version right here.

It's worth noting that as with T-Mo's usual Value plans, customers picking up a new device on Magenta Saturday will still be subject to a monthly payment for their hardware. For example, the HTC Amaze 4G's down payment will be set at $49.99 after a $150 mail-in rebate, but users will also need to pay an extra $20 per month on top of their monthly bill. Still, it looks like there are some decent deals to be had for anyone that's in the market for a new device and willing to sign up for one of T-Mobile's Unlimited Value offerings. So what do you all think? Anyone thinking about making a trip to the T-Mobile store to celebrate Magenta Saturday?
