T-Mobile takes the wraps off of the SpringBoard, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Well, that didn't take long. Earlier today we spied the unannounced SpringBoard Android tablet on T-Mobile's website, and now both it and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 have been made officially official by our Magenta friends. Landing "in time for the holidays," the T-Mobile SpringBoard with Google features a 7-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel shooter around front, 720p video capture, 16GB built-in storage, memory card slot, 4G connectivity, and Android 3.2. Exactly how much you'll be paying if you decide to spring for a SpringBoard remains a mystery, but T-Mobile says that it'll be one of its "most affordable tablets."

If you're in the market for an Android tablet on T-Mobile but would prefer something a tad larger than the SpringBoard, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will also be joining the Magenta Army in time for the holidays. Specs for T-Mo's Tab 10.1 are the same as the other versions of the Samsung slate, meaning you're looking at a 10.1-inch screen, 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, and a pair of cameras. Also on board is T-Mobile 4G connectivity and Android 3.2 beneath Samsung's TouchWiz UI. Like the SpringBoard, pricing on the Tab 10.1 is still unknown.

So there you go, T-Mobilers. It's been a while since we've seen a new tablet make its way to Magenta, but the good news is that that'll be changing soon. What's better is that the new slates come in two different sizes: the SpringBoard for folks that'd prefer something more portable and the Tab 10.1 for anyone that lives by the mantra that bigger is better. Any of you T-Mobile folk out there have your eye on one of the latest additions to T-Mo's tablet lineup?
