The Nexus Prime may be set to make its debut alongside Android Ice Cream Sandwich at the "Google Episode" of Samsung Unpacked next week, but it seems that the first image of the handset might have popped up a bit ahead of schedule. That's according to the folks at GSMArena, who posted the above photo of the corner of a device that could well be the next Nexus. The device is reporting a resolution of 1184x720, which sounds kind of strange, but it's likely that the resolution is actually 1280x720 and that the other 96 pixels are reserved for the on-screen navigation keys that we can see at the bottom of the display. The handset in image is also reportedly packing a screen with 320 pixels per inch (ppi). After doing the math with the phone's resolution and ppi, we're left with a display size of about 4.6 inches, which is precisely the screen size that GSMArena claims the Nexus Prime in this photo is packing.
There's not much else we can take away from the image, but so far the details we do have seems to be lining up with rumors we've heard in the past. Thankfully we're only a week away from the Samsung/Google event, so this tidbit of information should be enough to carry us through the rest of this week and into CTIA and Sammy's Unpacked event on October 11th.
